Project MYSELF
Project MYSELF is a direct-service program designed to help young adults aging out of the New Jersey foster care system to improve their academic performance, complete post-secondary education, and develop essential life skills and competencies.

Young people who are enrolled in post-secondary education and receive assistance under the New Jersey Foster Care Scholars Program are provided with a supportive mentoring relationship and opportunities to build skills, develop leadership skills, and enhance self-awareness as they pursue their educational and vocational goals.
Provides supportive services to all NJFC Scholars Program recipients 
Promotes awareness of post-secondary educational opportunities 
Speakers Bureau
As part of Project MYSELF, youth involved in Speakers Bureau have the opportunity to develop a skill set in becoming peer leaders and trainers as they deliver presentations to youth in Independent living, Aftercare programs, and housing programs throughout the state of New Jersey.
Promotes public speaking, strategic sharing and training delivery 
Summer Housing and Internship Program (SHIP)
SHIP is a model housing and internship program for post-secondary education students aging out of the New Jersey child welfare system.
Provides housing, paid internships and more to recipients of the New Jersey Foster Care Scholars Program who have no place to stay during summer break. 
Youth Advisory Boards (YAB)
Transitions for Youth directly administers the Middlesex County Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and coordinates with 11 other YABs statewide. These boards are youth-directed and strive to:
Promote adult and peer partnerships 
Provide skill-building opportunities for youth 
Give aging-out youth a voice in foster care decision-making and policy 
Dataweb
Initially created by staff at Rutgers University's School of Social Work in 2004, the Dataweb is a Web-based system used to collect demographic and service utilization information on youth enrolled in independent and transitional living, life skills, aftercare, supportive housing and mentoring programs funded through the Department of Children and Families' (DCF) Office of Adolescent Practice and Permanency.
Collects real-time data on youth 
Web-based, client-level service utilization tracking system  
In accordance with the Administration for Children and Families' (ACF) proposals for a National Youth in Transition Database (NYTD) 
Outcomes for Aging-Out Youth
Transitions for Youth is working closely with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), Office of Adolescent Practice and Permanency (OAPP) to develop a longitudinal survey to examine outcomes for youth who age out of the child welfare system in New Jersey.
Examines youth outcomes in accordance with proposals made by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) for a National Youth in Transition Database 
Research and Evaluation
Transitions for Youth is conducting an evaluation of Project MYSELF and the Summer Housing and Internship Program for former New Jersey foster youth who are now enrolled in higher education institutions.
This will be a longitudinal project, with the first wave of data collection to begin in Fall 2009.
